Lunch Break

David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes are having their lunch break. Rio gets his sandwiches out and says,

"If I have corned beef sandwiches one more time, I swear I'll kill myself."

Paul gets his ones out ans says,

"Oh no, not egg and cress. Honestly, if I get them again, I swear I'll do myself in."

David gets his sandwiches out and says,

"Oh no, not cheese and pickle. One more cheese and pickle sandwich and I'm a goner."

Next day they all stop for lunch. Rio gets his sandwiches outs, sees they're corned beef, can't take it any more and runs out in front of a bus. Similarly, Paul sees he's got egg and cress and does the same. David opens his lunch box, sees with dismay, a pile of cheese and pickle sandwiches and runs into the road himself.

The following week,after the funerals, the three women in the footballer's lives are consoling themselves.

"I'll never understand it," says Rio's mum. "I thought he liked corned beef sandwiches."

"Me too," says Paul's wife. "I could have sworn he loved egg and cress sandwiches."

"It's a mystery to me too," says Victoria. "David always made his own lunch."
