House hunters in the UK with a spare £750,000 have the chance snap up digs next door to England glamour couple Posh and Becks.

The Sun newspaper reports the gatehouse at the bottom of the "Beckingham Palace" drive is for sale.

The four-bedroom bungalow is said to be yards from the gate of the Victoria and David Beckham's Hertfordshire estate.

A friend of the Beckhams told the newspaper: "It's a lot of money but imagine the prestige of saying your neighbours are the most famous couple in Britain."

But buyers could have some tough competition in the form of the Beckhams themselves.

Three years ago, the England captain and his popstar wife bought another neighbouring bungalow to protect their much-guarded privacy.

News of the sale comes two weeks after an intruder with firelighters and rags was found on the Beckingham estate while Posh was at home with sons Brooklyn and Romeo.
